Round Table
A confidential discussion for CFOs on AI investments, governance, ROI, and executive decision-making.
This round table is designed as a practical, peer-level conversation for finance leaders who want to strengthen how they evaluate AI investments. Building on the Topic Primer, we will explore the questions CFOs should ask before committing to an AI initiative — and how asking better questions can lead to better-informed investment decisions.
The session is designed as an interactive discussion rather than a presentation. Participants are encouraged to share experiences, questions, and practical observations from their own organizations.
Discussion Focus
We will use the session to explore:
- Why the business rationale should come before AI ROI calculations
- The executive questions CFOs should ask before evaluating an AI investment
- What assumptions need to be true before an AI business case is credible
- How finance leaders define success before evaluating ROI
- How CFOs can challenge AI proposals with greater financial discipline
- How better questions lead to better AI investment decisions
Read the Topic Primer Before the Discussion
Before AI ROI: The Business Rationale
Many AI discussions begin with ROI, but finance leaders are often asked to evaluate investments before the business rationale is fully defined. This primer explores the executive questions that should come first—including why AI is being considered, what business outcome is expected, who benefits, what assumptions need to hold true, and how success should be defined. Reading it beforehand will provide common context for a more productive peer discussion.
